Mustafa joined Marx Realty as its Chief Administrative Officer in January of 2024, where his responsibilities include operations, fund raising/acquisitions, leasing and development. From 2014 to 2023,  he worked at Lument, (f/k/a Hunt Real Estate Capital, LLC), a multifamily commercial mortgage lender, where he held senior roles including Senior Managing Counsel and Director of Operations – Investment Sales. Prior to joining Lument, Mustafa was in-house counsel for Capstone Capital Group, LLC, an asset-based lending fund and began his legal career as an associate at Katten Muchin Rosenman, LLP in New York City focused on private equity transactions and securities law.

Mustafa earned his Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis – School of Law, and he earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
